No longer in a self-contained classroom with one main teacher, students begin changing classes with a different teacher for each subject.

 

Many new exciting experiences accompany the middle school years (sixth, seventh and eighth grade), preparing students academically, physically, and socially in order to be ready for high school.​

Connected Math provides students and teachers develop mathematical knowledge, understanding, and skill along with an awareness of and appreciation for the rich connections among mathematical strands and between mathematics and other disciplines.

Every unit in the SEPUP (Science Education for Public Understanding Program) uses personal and societal issues to provide thematic continuity for student investigations and observations.​

Lab-Aids are developed to provide students with a better understanding of science concepts, through direct experience.

Created by CPS, Skyline Social Studies is designed to encourage curiosity and criticality, inviting students to question and shape the world around them by relating Chicago and Illinois to broader history.

Wit & Wisdom® is a comprehensive K–8 English language arts curriculum crafted to help students build the knowledge and skills they need to be successful readers, exceptional writers, and effective communicators.
