Hamilton’s middle school dance performance class celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with a special master class featuring guest choreographer and dancer Lauren Martinez. Originally from Chicago, Lauren began her dance journey at age 7 with tap, later expanding her skills at Columbia College to include Ballet, Hip-Hop, African, and Latin dance. With 17 years of teaching experience across cities like New York and New Orleans, she has inspired over 7,000 students and collaborated with renowned artists such as Janet Jackson and Usher.
During this engaging class, students explored the vibrant rhythms of Latin fusion dance, immersing themselves in culture and movement. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn from a leading figure in the industry while honoring the richness of Hispanic Heritage through dance!
